About Me
I'm a Melbourne boy, hailing from St Kilda with one ex, one current wife and four kids. Love the outdoors and making new discoveries. I cook a lot at home (cheers from wife) and do some preserving, mostly jams, pickles and fruit liqueurs. This is the diary of a cooking journey.

I'm Back
Well that was fun. Forty-five minutes with tech support last week and couldn't get back on. Went back to the computer shop to get missing bits of the modem, ten minutes on the phone and BACK IN TOWN.

Thanks to my son A who typed my gone missing message from my phone call, but I must really have a word with him about using I - not i.

Thanks to all of you who have been so patient, and especially the concerned pentacular who rang me up to ask what was going on.

Back to the food soon, I want to write about the program Great British Menu, it was fascinating.

Gee it's good to be back!

Hi pentacular, I think the phone was something to do with the missing bits, when I plugged in the new modem my phone went dead.

Hi ed, I just hope that I remember everything I wanted to say!

Hi kitchen queen, thanks!

I so wanted to see the GBM marathon. Except I don't have cable so that kind of put me in a difficult position (actually, if I got the food channel would never leave the house so probably better I do it vicariously). Do tell all.

Great British Menu was fabulous! I missed most of the early episodes, and only got to see the last 3 hours on the Queen's Birthday, but I was spellbound. Great television. Now they need to do another marathon so I can watch all the early episides.

Hi reb, I bet one of your friends has it. Just offer a bottle of wine and some of your fabulous creme brulee!

Hi niki, the actual menu is coming up, stay tuned.
