About Me
I'm a Melbourne boy, hailing from St Kilda with one ex, one current wife and four kids. Love the outdoors and making new discoveries. I cook a lot at home (cheers from wife) and do some preserving, mostly jams, pickles and fruit liqueurs. This is the diary of a cooking journey.

Tea or Coffee
We were watching a movie last night that finished on the early side of bedtime, so I switched over to see what else was on and found a movie with Mark Ruffalo. My wife likes him so I somewhat teasingly said,

"There's your other boyfriend."

"What do you mean, my other boyfriend, who's the other one?"

"You know, your cup of tea one."

"My cup of tea one, who do you mean?"

"Well, Mark Ruffalo would be your coffee boyfriend and Colin Firth would be a cup of tea."

Just to explain, that's a reference to the American love for coffee and the English love for a cup of tea, which would make me a coffee lover as two of my favourite actors are Ed Harris and Ashley Judd.

Are you a 'coffee' or 'tea' person, or do you favour some other 'beverage'? What's your favourite 'brand'?

TEA, Tea, tea!
Colin Firth, Stephen Fry, Jeremy Irons... seems have a thing for older men too, hehe

I'd have to be a beer girl then - The Aussies do it for me

Though I occasionally indulge in chai tea (gotta be a loose leaf mix, I can't stand that bagged/powdered Liptons concoction!), I usually just drink water, sometimes having a green tea after the meal! Unfortunately I don't have a brand for you as it's stuff that we bring over from Korea each time a family member goes back to visit :)

Tea if I am ill, iced tea all the time (I live in the South, after all!), coffee all other times. Best coffee- percolated when we are camping. I love flavored coffees (my husband calls them "poufy" coffee)!

Hi laurie, hmmm, I'm not sure what to make of that!

Hi bron, nothing wrong with older men, we know a thing or two.

Hi ange, you caught me out, I should have mentioned Toni Collette, great actor.

Hi ellie, confession: I've never had chai, is that an oversight?

Hi deborah, I think I get what your husband is on about. Camping and percolated coffee sounds pretty good.

I'm a coffee girl myself - too many too-strong, too-milky, too-sweet teas when I was a child I think!! But I do like chai and herbal teas - so maybe that explains my slight obsession with Alan Cumming and Ewan McGregor ;-)

What fun! And add Hugh Laurie. And Anthony Hopkins. I actually love all those mentioned, but if forced to choose I'd say I'm more tea than coffee, with Clive Owen as my favorite tea, and George Clooney as my one and only coffee (is there any other kind?) It all depends on which side of the pond I'm on at the time... ;)
