I have just recieved an email from reb of CucinaRebecca alerting me to a program that ran on television station SBS titled Understanding Autism. There were some great guests including Tim Fischer, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia who resigned from Parliament to help raise his son with autism, as well as Daniella Dawes, the woman who suffocated her ten year old son, who was extremely autistic.

I'm not sure that you will understand autism from reading the transcript, but you will get a feel for what it's like to have to deal with autism on a day to day basis for ALL those concerned. I don't recommend reading it if you are easily upset, though not all the autism stories are dark.
