Herring in Carrot Sauce
Oh my, I've failed you.
Despite my charm, cajoling and anything else I could think of, the recipe for this remains a secret. It's an old Polish family recipe for salted herring marinated in a carrot sauce and is seriously good, but there you have it, I can't tell you.
Don't fret though, dear reader. It has given me an idea for another dish, a variation upon a classic and since that will be my recipe, every tiny detail will be yours.
Soon, I promise.

Patiently waiting for your interesting recipe!
I could guess at lots of onion and tomato for zing, paprika for bite.
Incidentally, I have a jar of Indian carrot pickle at home. I'm only halfway through it - it's hot as Hades, the carrot is merely the medium.
This failure can be overcome with the proper effort!
Hi anh, it will be worth it. It's quite a different idea, that in my head at least, works.
Hi kitchen hand, not bad at all, I know there are onions and tomato paste, but definitely no paprika.
I had a jar of chile bean paste, Chinese I think, that was similar to that, it took me years to get through it and it never went off either.
Hi Tanna, are you suggesting some heavy-duty sweet talkin'?
