The Good Mustard
Checked out a hip new local hamburger joint the other day.
The mustard mentioned on the menu was Dijon, but it had a real kick to it, like someone had messed around with some English mustard in the mix.
"Can you tell me what the mustard is? I really like it, got a bit of a kick."
"Yeah, it's French...from Dijon."
"Do you think you could tell me the name?"
"Sure."
After a walk to the back of the shop, the helpful assistant came back with...
"It's called Moutarde!"
"Thanks."
I kinda new that. Nothing lost in translation.

Kind of makes you want to hit your head on the table doesn't it!
I love it! Thanks for the giggle. ;D
Hi Neil.
It was fun reading your blog but it's my first time to make a comment. Having following most blogs from Melbourne foodies & Chef, I now believe that Melbourne is the food capital of OZ. I was there in Melbourne late 2007.
And St. Kilda is my favorite spot. I had my cup of hot choco in a restaurant where in you will walk along boardwalk first.
I stayed in Toorak at Claremont.
Keep up your blog :)
I'm giggling.
That's priceless!
